Job Description

The Applied Security Engineer is the primary technical resource, and responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage. Working in conjunction with the business development lead as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Applied Security Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction. As such, experience in dealing with customers as part of a security consulting or support perspective are a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain expert level of the Senrio product capabilities and use cases
• Drive (or even develop) new product features and use cases
• Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
• Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors
• Listen, understand and convey customer requirements
• Perform technical/ product training for users and administrators at targeted accounts
• Travel to project sites to perform start-up, integration, and training services when required
• Resolve customer issues or difficulties
• Work with and support the Senrio Research team with bleeding-edge embedded device security research
• This position is full time averaging 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• A minimum of BA/BS in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent successful experience in technical industry roles
• 2+ years of Information Security Consulting or Incident Response experience strongly preferred
• A solid understanding of information security concepts from web-security to application/host security
• High-level of professionalism, even in the midst of stressful engagements
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Self-motivated and a demonstrated self-starter
• Desire to participate in and conduct security research
• Must be proficient in one or several programming languages (C, C++, Python, Ruby, Java, et al)
• Must enjoy challenges and “putting out fires”
• Highly dependable; team player willing to perform any task necessary to help team succeed
• Available for Travel 25%
